Temperament:
Rosehall's bully's are renowned for their temperament. Our bully's get along with everyone and everything. Even our un-neutered males play happily together! Although, we do not recommend purchasing two males, as we raise- train our boyz in a very nurturing-positive reinforced environment, this may not be so in other cases.
We also HIGHLY recommend that all puppy's-dogs be properly and continually trained and socialized with humans-dogs and other animals. Puppy school and other classes teach you to teach the bully properly, avoiding any behavior problems that may arise down the road. A properly trained and socialized bully makes for the best family addition. Remember they are adoreable when pups and can easily get spoiled (by YOU) and take over your home. It is your responsibility to see that this doesn't happen.

Health:
Bully's, just like any other breed, have their unique quirks. Being a short faced breed, their breathing is hampered during the heat of the summer. This may not affect them the first summer when they are pups, but, be on the look out the following summer when they are mature. Bully's should always have access to shade and fresh water when they are outside doing their business during the heat of summer. Never leave them out unattended, as they could quickly overheat.

When playing around water such as a cottage, house boat etc. BULLY'S SINK LIKE A BOAT ANCHOR! Please use life saving floatation devises for them, they may be purchased at any pet store.

Bully's also partake in a bully symphony, as I refer to it, they sound like a train chugging when they sleep , get excited or during active play time. We do recommend that during an active playtime, that they are supervised, as youngsters never know when enough is enough.

Feeding:
RESEARCH your food thoroughly. Many foods have chemical preservatives or are full of fillers. Poor quality food could be the cause of skin problems and allergies. A reputable breeder should always recommend proper food for a complete and balanced diet. We have been on Purina ProPlan for many years, and have had wonderful results.

Grooming:
You must be prepared to daily wipe the wrinkle and folds of your bully.  Start as soon as you bring your pup home and get them accustomed to be thoroughly worked over from their eyes to under  their tails.  We recommend that you brush them out weekly and when they are blowing their coat, brush daily.

Choosing a Breeder:
Here are some tips when searching for a breeder:
*Registration: All bully's must come with either Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) or American Kennel Club (AKC) registration papers. If someone says that they can save you lots of money by not registering them.. beware....this means they have bred dogs that should not have been bred and and can not be classified as purebred. Also....this improper breeding could bring out many genetic health problems.

*Commitment:
How committed is the breeder? What kind of support system do they provide? What is their health guarantee? How long have they bred for? How often do they have pups? Are they active in showing the bully's?
Remember...Quality produces Quality .

*Environment:
Always visit the home and make sure the bully's are raised in a clean and loving environment. Bully's are indoor dogs, not to be raised in kennels outside.

*Lineage:
Check out the temperament of the bully mom, dad and any other family they have there. See how they interact with one another and how they would fit into your situation.
